The Flying Change

TFC Featured In Magnet

Earlier this week we got our first (tiny tiny) shout-out in Pitchfork.  Today, Magnet, the famed Philly-based music mag, drops a great little write-up and a free download of ‘Dirty White Coats’.  They call the record “elegaic” as well.

Here’s their description of the tune:

Meticulously edited, with no musical verbosity, coffee-shop hazy-landscape pop lullaby “Dirty White Coats” mingles light, folksy guitar with banjo strums, soft trumpet and violin.

It’s a ukelele (played by Pete) not a banjo but I agree that the song is a “hazy-landscape pop lullaby”.  It’s the closest I’ve come to ‘Astral Weeks’ since I started recording.  Thank you, Magnet.  Actually, the real thanks go to Bill and the Publicity team at Team Clermont.  Thank you, guys.
