Relationship of Command played a big part in my life right at the
beginning of the decade. I was bummed they broke up. Never picked up
The Argument but I do love Fugazi.

Interesting the ones that are coming out on many lists, but good to see stuff like ...TOD and Spoon on yours. I've only ever seen Paul play with you, so I'll have to check out his own stuff, cheers!

Oh, and maybe take a jump from that ...TOD album to At The Drive-In (Relationship of Command) and Fugazi (The Argument), which were released around the same time. If you haven't listened, they're a bit heavier but both run in the same circles of raw energy and jagged post-hardcore feel. By which I mean they kick arse.

Great point about Trail Of Dead. What a fantastic record, reminds me of just moving to Dupont Circle and walking around Q St listening to it on my pre-Ipod MiniDisc. Where did they go? Oh well. Most bands would sell their left arm for at least one important song much less an album. Good list and as always they can never be all inclusive. Kid A reminds me so much of 2000; I bought two copies on vinyl so I could beat loop the opening of 'National Anthem'.
